ZenFinder Terms of Service

Last updated: 16 October 2026

These Terms are a legal agreement between you and Zenfinder. By creating an account or using the Zenfinder app, website or services (the "Services"), you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1.1Who you are contracting with

If you live inYou contract withGoverning law
NigeriaZenstrin Limited (RC 6861293)Laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
Anywhere elseZenstrin Technologies Inc., a Delaware corporationLaws of the State of Delaware, USA

"Zenfinder", "we" and "us" mean the company you contract with. Our group companies may help provide the Services.

1.2Eligibility and your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You need a mobile number you control. We verify it by one-time code.
  • Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for everything done through your account. Keep your device and codes secure.
  • One person, one personal account, unless we agree otherwise. Businesses may register through an authorised representative.

1.3What Zenfinder does

Zenfinder helps people find and call local service providers and businesses by voice. You describe what you need, and we connect you with providers who may be able to help. The Services include search, discovery calls, regular calls, VIP calling, chat, provider listings and related features. We may add, change or remove features at any time.

Some search results come from public sources, such as business directories and map services, and not from providers who signed up. We do not check that this information is accurate or current.

1.4We are not a party to your arrangements

Zenfinder is a discovery and communications platform. We are not a provider of the services listed on it.

  • Providers are independent. They are not our employees, agents or partners.
  • We do not vet, license, insure or supervise providers, and we do not guarantee their quality, safety, legality, qualifications or pricing.
  • Any agreement, payment or dispute about a service is between you and the provider. We take no fee from it and are not responsible for it.
  • Trust scores, confirmations, ratings and rankings are signals, not endorsements.
  • Take sensible precautions. Check credentials, agree prices before work starts, and avoid paying large sums upfront to someone you have not met.

We may help resolve disputes, but we have no obligation to do so.

1.5How results are ranked

Results and the order in which providers are notified of a request are decided automatically. Factors include how well a listing matches the request, location, availability, trust signals and past activity. Providers can also pay to be notified earlier or ranked higher through Zenfinder advertising. Paid placement does not mean we recommend that provider.

1.6Calls, recording and transcription

  • Discovery calls (calls started from a Zenfinder search to a provider) are recorded and may be transcribed. Both parties will be told when a discovery call is being recorded. By making or answering a discovery call, you agree to the recording.
  • Voice searches are recorded and transcribed so we can understand and answer them.
  • Other calls and chats between users are end-to-end encrypted, and we cannot hear or read their content. We still process call and message information such as who, when and how long.
  • How we use recordings and transcripts is explained in our Privacy Policy (2.3).
  • Do not use Zenfinder to call emergency services. Zenfinder is not a replacement for your phone line and does not support emergency calls.

1.7Zenfinder Zero and mobile data

On some networks we may cover the mobile data used by Zenfinder ("Zenfinder Zero").

  • It depends on our agreements with mobile network operators. It may be limited, changed, paused or ended at any time, in whole or for a network.
  • Fair-use limits apply. Above them, or for traffic outside Zenfinder, your normal data charges apply.
  • Some features, such as incoming call alerts, may still need a data balance.
  • We are not your mobile network operator. Your operator's own terms continue to apply.

1.8Paid features and Credits

Some features cost money, such as VIP calling and advertising. Prices are shown before you pay.

You may buy Zenfinder Credits ("Credits") to pay for these features.

  • Credits are prepaid credit for Zenfinder services only. They are not money, a deposit or e-money, and earn no interest.
  • Credits cannot be withdrawn, cashed out, or transferred to another account.
  • Credits are non-refundable, except where the law requires a refund or we choose to give one.
  • We may correct Credits added or charged in error.
  • Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We do not store your full card details.

1.9Rules for everyone

You must not:

  • Break any law, or offer, request or arrange anything illegal.
  • Harass, threaten, abuse, defraud or impersonate anyone.
  • Post false, misleading or infringing listings or content.
  • Send spam or unsolicited marketing, or misuse other users' numbers.
  • Record other users yourself without their consent where the law requires it.
  • Scrape, copy, reverse engineer or overload the Services, or get around fair-use limits, security or Zenfinder Zero controls.
  • Create fake accounts, fake confirmations or fake calls, or manipulate rankings or advertising charges.
  • Use the Services to offer sexual services, weapons, drugs, gambling or anything we tell you is not allowed.

1.10Extra rules for providers

If you list a service, you confirm that:

  • Your listing is accurate, and your description, prices and location are honest.
  • You hold any licence, permit, registration or insurance the law requires for your work.
  • You will treat customers lawfully and fairly, and handle their information in line with the law.
  • You are responsible for your own taxes.

Advertising on Zenfinder is covered by the Advertiser Terms (section 3).

1.11Your content

You keep ownership of what you post or upload, such as listings, photos, messages and voice notes ("Your Content"). You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, display, adapt and use Your Content to run, promote and improve the Services. This licence ends when Your Content is deleted, except for copies we must keep by law or for legitimate purposes, such as backups and dispute records. You confirm you have the right to post Your Content.

We may remove or refuse any content, at our discretion.

1.12Our property

The Services, the Zenfinder name and logo, and our software and content belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the app for its intended purpose. If you send us feedback, we may use it freely.

1.13Third-party services

The Services rely on third parties, such as mobile networks, app stores, payment providers and cloud platforms. We are not responsible for their acts, failures or terms.

1.14Suspension and closure

We may suspend or close your account, remove listings, or limit features at any time if we reasonably believe you have broken these Terms or the law, created risk for others, or if we must do so by law. Where reasonable, we will tell you why. You can close your account at any time from the app or by emailing [email protected]. Unused Credits are lost when an account closes, unless the law says otherwise.

1.15Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that they will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that calls will connect or have good quality. We make no promise about any provider, service or result found through Zenfinder.

1.16Limits on our liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.

Subject to that, to the extent the law allows:

  • We are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, data or goodwill, or for indirect or consequential loss.
  • We are not liable for the acts or omissions of providers, customers or other users, or for any service you arrange through Zenfinder.
  • Our total liability to you for all claims is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or ₦50,000 (or US$50 if you contract with Zenstrin Technologies Inc.).

1.17Your responsibility to us

To the extent the law allows, you will compensate us for losses and costs, including reasonable legal fees, caused by your breach of these Terms, your content, or your dealings with other users.

1.18Disputes

Please contact [email protected] first. We will try to resolve the matter informally within 30 days.

If it is not resolved:

  • Nigeria: the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria, have jurisdiction. You keep any right to complain to the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission or the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
  • Elsewhere: the state and federal courts in Delaware, USA, have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you may also bring a claim in your home courts and keep the protection of your local mandatory laws.

1.19Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app, by SMS or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using the Services after that, you accept the updated Terms.

1.20General

These Terms, with the Privacy Policy and any feature-specific terms, are the whole agreement between us about the Services. If part is unenforceable, the rest still applies. We may transfer these Terms to a group company or to a buyer of our business. You may not transfer them. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.

We follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, and, where they apply, the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulations.

  • Advertiser and Business API details: business information, bids, budgets, message templates and the data you send through the API.

Collected automatically:

  • Public sources: business names, phone numbers, descriptions and locations from public directories, map services and websites (see 2.12).

2.3Recordings and transcripts

We record and transcribe voice searches and discovery calls. Both parties are told when a discovery call is recorded. We use recordings and transcripts to:

  • Understand your request and match you with providers.
  • Check and improve call quality, search accuracy and the Services.
  • Investigate disputes, complaints, fraud and misuse, and keep users safe.
  • Verify discovery calls for advertising charges.
  • Develop and train our own systems, including machine-learning and AI models.
  • Meet legal obligations.

Recordings and transcripts may be reviewed by automated systems, including AI, and by authorised staff and contractors bound by confidentiality. We may use third-party providers to process them on our behalf.

2.5Automated decisions

We use automated systems to match requests, rank and notify providers, decide whether a call counts as a discovery call, review Business API templates and detect misuse. These decisions do not have legal or similarly significant effects on customers. If an automated decision affects your account or charges and you disagree, contact us and a person will review it.

  • Providers' listings are public, including business name, description, service area and rating.
  • When you call or message someone, they may see your name, photo and phone number.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers acting on our instructions: cloud hosting, calling and messaging infrastructure, speech-to-text and AI processing, search, SMS and verification, push notifications, analytics, crash reporting, customer support and payment processing.
  • Mobile network operators taking part in Zenfinder Zero, limited to what they need to run it.

2.8International transfers

Our servers and service providers are in several countries, including in Europe and the United States. Your information may be processed outside the country where you live. When we transfer it, we use safeguards the law recognises, such as contractual clauses, adequacy decisions, or your consent where required.

2.9How long we keep information

We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy. That depends on:

  • whether your account is active;
  • how long we need it to provide, secure and improve the Services;
  • whether it is needed for a dispute, investigation or claim;
  • legal, tax and accounting retention periods.

When we no longer need it, we delete or anonymise it. Anonymised information may be kept and used without limit. Some information may stay in backups for a limited time before being overwritten.

2.10Security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls and monitoring. No system is completely secure. If a breach is likely to put you at risk, we will tell you and the regulator as the law requires.

2.11Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of your information;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • delete your information;
  • restrict or object to how we use it, including objecting to direct marketing at any time;
  • give your information to you or another organisation in a portable format;
  • review an automated decision.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. This does not affect what we did before. Email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity. We will respond within the time the law allows, usually 30 days. Some rights have legal limits, and we will explain if we cannot meet a request.

2.12Businesses in our directory

To help people find services, we collect business phone numbers, names, descriptions and locations from public sources, such as directories, map services and business websites. We include them in Zenfinder search results, so people can call those businesses.

If your number is listed and you did not sign up, you can:

  • claim and manage the listing by joining Zenfinder; or
  • ask us to remove it by emailing [email protected] with the number. We will remove it and stop re-adding it.

2.13Children

Zenfinder is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used Zenfinder, contact us and we will delete their information.

2.14Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app, by SMS or by email before it takes effect.

2.15Contact and complaints

Email [email protected]. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the relevant regulator:

  • Nigeria: Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC)
  • United Kingdom: Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)

Section 3

ZenFinder Advertiser Terms

Last updated: 16 October 2026

These terms apply when you advertise on Zenfinder, including through Ads Manager at ads.zenfinder.ai. They add to the Zenfinder Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If they conflict, these terms apply to advertising. The contracting company and governing law are the same as in 1.1 of the Terms of Service.

3.1Definitions

  • Advertiser, you: the business or person advertising.
  • Ads: paid placement on Zenfinder, including earlier notification of requests and higher ranking.
  • Bid: the amount you set to pay per Discovery Call.
  • Discovery Call: a call to you from a customer started through a Zenfinder search, which our systems treat as a new customer connection.
  • Credits: prepaid Zenfinder service credit, as described in the Terms of Service (1.8).

3.2How the auction works

  • Placement is decided automatically by Ad Rank. Ad Rank combines your Bid with how well your listing matches the request. We may change the factors.
  • Higher-ranked advertisers may be notified of a request before others.
  • We do not guarantee any number of calls, customers, placement, sales or results.
  • We may set minimum Bids and minimum per-call charges. We may change them with notice in Ads Manager.

3.3Charges

  • You are charged only for Discovery Calls, not for listing or being found.
  • The charge is your Bid, or the applicable minimum charge, at the time the call connects.
  • Our systems decide whether a call is a Discovery Call. Their records are final, unless you show they are wrong (3.5).
  • Charges are deducted from your Credits. If you have no Credits, we may pause your Ads.
  • Prices may be shown in NGN or USD. Ads Manager shows whether a price includes VAT and other taxes. You are responsible for any taxes you owe.

3.4Credits

  • Credits are bought in advance and used only for Zenfinder services.
  • Credits are not money. They cannot be withdrawn, cashed out, or transferred to another account.
  • Credits are non-refundable, except where the law requires a refund, or we choose to give one, or under 3.5.
  • Unused Credits are lost if your account is closed for breach of these terms.

3.5Disputing a charge

If you believe a charge is wrong, for example it was not a new customer, it was a fake call or it was made in error, tell us through Ads Manager or at [email protected] within 30 days of the charge. We will review it, which may include the call recording and transcript. If we agree, we will return the Credits to your account. Our decision after review is final, to the extent the law allows.

3.6Your responsibilities

You confirm that:

  • Your listing and ad content are accurate, lawful and not misleading.
  • You hold all licences, permits and rights needed for your business and content.
  • You will not advertise anything banned in 1.9 of the Terms of Service, or anything else we tell you is not allowed.
  • You will not create fake calls, use other accounts to manipulate the auction, or generate calls to competitors to use up their Credits.
  • You comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Act and any other law that applies.

We may reject, pause or remove any Ad at any time.

3.7Customer information

When a customer calls or messages you, you receive their contact details. You become responsible for that information as an independent data controller. You must use it only to deal with that customer's request, keep it secure, and not use it for marketing without their consent.

3.8Reports

Ads Manager reports are based on our records. They are for your information and may contain estimates.

3.9Suspension and closure

We may suspend or close your advertising account if you break these terms, if we suspect fraud, or if the law requires it. You can stop advertising at any time by pausing your Ads.

3.10Liability

The disclaimers and limits in 1.15 to 1.17 of the Terms of Service apply. In addition, our total liability to you for advertising is limited to the charges you paid in the 3 months before the claim. You will compensate us for claims arising from your Ads, your business or your use of customer information.

Section 4

ZenFinder Business API Terms

Last updated: 16 October 2026

These terms apply when you use the Zenfinder Business API at api.zenfinder.ai, its keys, documentation and tools (the "API"). They add to the Zenfinder Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If they conflict, these terms apply to the API. The contracting company and governing law are the same as in 1.1 of the Terms of Service.

4.1Access

  • The API is for businesses and their authorised developers. You must be authorised to accept these terms for your business.
  • Each sender is identified by a verified phone number that you control.
  • Keep API keys secret. You are responsible for all use of your keys. Tell us at once if a key is compromised.
  • We may set rate limits, quotas and technical requirements, and change them.
  • The API supports messaging only. It does not support calls.

4.2Messaging rules

  • Consent: you may message a person only if they have contacted you first or have agreed to receive messages from you. Keep a record of consent.
  • Opt-out: stop messaging anyone who asks you to stop, straight away.
  • Categories: each template must be put in the correct category, such as marketing or utility. Marketing messages need clear consent.
  • Template review: templates are reviewed automatically, including by AI. We may approve, reject, re-categorise or later disable any template.
  • Content: you must not send messages that are illegal, misleading, fraudulent, harassing, sexual, hateful, or that promote anything banned under 1.9 of the Terms of Service.
  • Identity: you must not pretend to be another business or person.
  • Sensitive data: do not send full card numbers, passwords or government ID numbers through the API, unless we agree in writing.

We may monitor message metadata and quality signals, such as blocks and reports, and limit or suspend senders who cause harm.

4.3Pricing and payment

  • Fees follow our published rate card in NGN or USD.
  • Fees are paid from prepaid Credits, under 1.8 of the Terms of Service.
  • We may change the rate card with at least 30 days' notice.
  • You are responsible for any taxes you owe.

4.4Data protection

  • For personal data you send or receive through the API, you are the data controller. We process it for you, only to provide the API, and on your instructions.
  • We keep it confidential, secure it, use sub-processors bound by similar terms, help you with data-subject requests where reasonable, and tell you without undue delay about a breach affecting it.
  • When the relationship ends, we delete it, or return it if you ask, unless the law requires us to keep it.
  • We act as an independent controller for account, billing, metadata, security and abuse-prevention data, as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • You must have a lawful basis for all data you send, and tell your customers about your use of Zenfinder.

4.5Our rights

  • We may change, add to or retire API features. For changes that break existing use, we will try to give at least 30 days' notice, unless needed for security or legal reasons.
  • We may suspend access immediately for security risks, abuse, non-payment or breach.
  • We may use your business name and logo to list you as a customer, unless you tell us not to.

4.6Your responsibility

You are responsible for your apps, your messages and your compliance with the law. You will compensate us for claims arising from your messages, your apps, your breach of these terms, or your breach of data protection law.

4.7Liability

The API is provided "as is". We do not guarantee delivery, delivery times or uptime. The limits in 1.15 to 1.17 of the Terms of Service apply. In addition, our total liability to you for the API is limited to the fees you paid in the 3 months before the claim.

4.8Ending the agreement

You can stop using the API at any time. We can end your access on 30 days' notice, or immediately for breach. Sections about payment, data protection, your responsibility and liability continue after the agreement ends.
